Lacy Simons is the Owner & Operator of hello hello books, in downtown Rockland. Originally from Readfield, Lacy moved all around the country before settling in Rockland. She has a Bachelor’s from the University of Maine and an MFA from Bennington Writing Seminars. In the spring of 2011, Lacy purchased the bookstore piece of Rock City's business and transformed it into hello hello books, which features both new and used books. hello hello books has been featured twice in The New York Times, and has also appeared in The Boston Globe, New York Magazine, Downeast,

and Maine Magazine. The shop was voted Best Bookstore in

Maine in Downeast’s Readers Poll in 2015, and they’ve won Best Bookstore in Knox County’s “Best of the Best” for the

last four years.
