Kierie Piccininni

Kierie Piccininni is a lifelong and passionate bicyclist. She cut her teeth on commuting, racing, and touring in Colorado, San Francisco, and New York City. In NYC, she served as a volunteer bike mechanic for the activist group Times Up! and made a series of short bike films. In 2010, she moved to Bangor to stay close to a friend who suffered a traumatic brain injury due to a bicycle-car collision. That experience morphed her sense of activism into professional advocacy for equal accessibility for cyclists and pedestrians. Kierie serves on the board of the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, for whom she has been a Community Spokes advocate since 2014, and guides Bangor’s bike-ped committee, Walk-n-Roll. Kierie is the marketing and web manager for her family business, Winterport Boot Shop.
